Building a foundation of trust by treating you and your child as special individuals is vital to our success. We understand how uneasy some children may be about visiting the dentist, and how we can make a difference in providing a relaxing, calming and positive experience.Dr. Fontes and her staff are dedicated to providing your child with excellent, personalized care and service to make their visits to our pediatric dental office as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
A standard of excellence in personalized pediatric dental care enables us to provide the quality dental service your child deserves. We provide comprehensive treatment planning and use general, orthodontic, and restorative dentistry to help your child maintain optimal dental health.
Infection control in our pediatric dental office is of utmost importance. To protect your child, as well as ourselves, we maintain strict sterilization and anti-cross contamination procedures. We meet or exceed the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” versus “disease care”. That is why we focus on thorough exams - checking the overall health of your child’s teeth and gums and taking low radiation digital x-rays when necessary. We know that routine cleanings, flossing, fluoride, and sealants are effective in preventing dental decay. Dental and medical health are closely intertwined. That is why an accurate complete medical history is so important. Many diseases as well as some drugs affect the overall health of the mouth and can change the approach that will need to be taken.
As your child's dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your child's smile healthy. To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.
